The ND 96 Moon Filter (0.9 density; 13% transmission): Probably the most important filter you will ever need. An absolute must for Moon observation. Please Note: This filter is only suitable for 1.25" threaded eyepieces. The neutral density filter transmits light uniformly across the entire visual spectrum. It serves as an excellent method to reduce glare and irradiation when observing the Moon with any telescope 4" and larger. The ND96 may also be employed in the splitting of close double stars where one of the binary pair significantly exceeds the other in brightness.

This versatile 1.25" Orion Variable Polarizing Telescope Filter acts like a dimmer switch for your telescope, toning down thebrightness of the Moon or planets to a comfortable level and revealing more surface details. It consists of two high-grade glass polarizing filters in a rotating cell that allows you to vary the amount of light transmission from 1% to 40%. Such control is highly desirable for lunar observing because the Moon's brightness varies with its phase and with the aperture and magnification of the telescope you are using. It's also a must for viewing the Moon in daylight hours. Reducing the glare to an optimal level will reveal dramatically more lunar and planetary features, without significantlyaltering the objects' color. Meade #126 Barlow Lens 1.25" Ref: 07273 The Meade #126 Barlow is a high quality compact short (2.5") unit and was designed to fit into the eyepiece holder of the Meade ETX 90/105/125 to keep the telescopes eyepiece height comfortably low. However, it can also be used in the 1.25" star diagonal of any type or brand of telescope for true 2x magnification. In addition to the Meade ETX scopes, it is particularly recommended for use with refractors and reflectors of F5 and above where a physically short Barlow is preferrred. It is a solution on fast reflectors to allow focus to be achieved for photography . Its multicoated achromatic glass doublet lens works best at focal ratios of F5 and above.
