The Alta+ carbon fibre series tripods are made with carbon fibre legs making these tripods extremely lightweight and easy to use. The legs feature 6x Multi Layer Technology making them both extremely lightweight but tremendously strong – you really will have to try extremely hard to break this tripod! The Alta 225CP is fitted with the new PH-22 3 way fluid pan head. The new PH-22 features dual control handles, the left handle provides swivel movement through 360° and tilt movement through 180° - the right hand handle allows 90° horizontal movement enabling the user to easily switch between portrait and landscape formats. The tripod column is reversible so that it can be inverted enabling macro photography at low level or that low angle award wining shot. For even lower angle shots it is possible to remove the centre column altogether and replace it with the stub column, on which the PH-22 can be mounted, with the legs splayed to their maximum the tripod is virtually flat on the floor. The centre column is fitted with an ‘Anti Shock’ ring which cushions against accidental column release with camera or scope fitted. The tripods legs can all be adjusted individually to 3 different angles (25˚ 50˚ 80˚), using the patented thumb release, for uneven terrain and low angle shooting. The legs can be extended simply and quickly using the Vanguard single twist leg-lock system.
